The Rocky Mountain Wa Shonaji Quilt Guild’s 2021 Virtual Quilt Exhibit is comprised of two categories:   “Faces” and “Things Ain’t What They Used to Be”.

Duke Ellington composed “Things Ain’t What They Used to Be.” As a member of ASCAP, the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers, Duke Ellington was restricted from airing his compositions during a strike. His son Mercer Ellington was not under ASCAP, so he arranged the piece for his father’s orchestra. Ted Persons wrote the lyrics.

“Things Ain’t What They Used to Be” is a 1942 jazz standard.

You can listen to Duke Ellington’s classic rendition of “Things Ain’t What They Used to Be” by clicking here.

As a result of the Coronavirus/Covid 19 pandemic, we were again unable to have a public exhibit.

Please sit back, relax and enjoy our “VIRTUAL” Exhibit.
