Description: At a quilting retreat, I saw one of the ladies doing a chevron pattern, and I wanted to learn. I used prints of African Kings and Queens and coordinating fabrics, not knowing that they existed until I went to the African American History Museum in Washington DC. Look closely and you can see the quilted mask pattern. I have a friend in Rwanda, Africa. I enjoy reading his stories as he tells us things are looking up and entrepreneurships are alive and well. Africans are again prospering as they once used to.
