Description: This sibling triptych was made from a quilt by my paternal Great Grandmother, Mary A. Barnhart (1861-1947). As a child, I remember the Dove in the Window quilt being used on Mom and Dad’s bed, thus the deterioration. Tulle covers the straight-line quilted blocks to stabilize the deterioration. A manipulated photograph of Mom and Dad together was printed on Jacquard semi-transparent silk sheets for an airy look and attached between two quilt blocks. The backing fabric has information through Al White’s work in ancestry.com and was printed on photo quality fabric on an Epson P800.
