Description: The category "Things Ain't What They Used to Be" is quite broad. My quilt is made from fabrics that I had collected over time that reminded me of my sons. When I realized how many fabrics I had collected, I decided that I could use all of them in this ampersand quilt by Thomas Knauer, from his book Modern Quilt Perspectives: 12 patterns for Meaningful Quilts. All the fabrics I used are a snapshot of something that was popular or representative of my sons' youth. And ... &...They Grew Up.
